The engine compartment 'light' should be mounted...

The engine compartment 'light' should be mounted on the bottom of the hood where the two holes are above your green arrow. That plug is probably for the light.

Above the fusebox, mine was just wrapped around another group of wires. Try using a mirror to look up above the fuse box.

On mine, a 91, the shock cylinder is on the passenger side. I only received one tapered bolt with mine and it didn't fit either, so I used a regular bolt. You probably should use a grade 8 bolt....

If you look at the back side of the lens panel you should see what each lens indicates, check engine, seat belt, etc. and check the bulbs to see if they look good.

Actually, the tie rod bar arm should be between the two clamps of the tie rod bar adjuster tube. It supposed to keep the adjuster from moving if the clamps come loose. Learned that a couple weeks ago...

I used hoffmans suggestion, kinda. I just kept adjusting the drag link til the steering wheel would turn 1...

I did the Dakota steering box swap

and the steering won't turn as far left as compared to the right. I measured the distance between the front of the front tire to the leaf springs, with the steering turned to all the way to the stop....
