I'm about to install a new luk clutch kit for a 2000 4.0 and I have the new pilot bearing. Does it need to be greased? I've looked online to some mixed answers.

Plus it was cheap enough. It's been awhile but it was less than $100. I didn't think it was a big deal the jeep went 191k with the first one.

The fsm says just to put a dab of sealant on the corners of the main bearing cap and the pan gasket. Is that what you did? I def don't want this thing to leak again.
