Could be the mode switch itself , not uncommon for part of your problem. The fan speed switch can melt on the connector side and lose a speed or two and resistor still be fine

I prefer Valvoline VR-1 it has the Zinc our old fashion engines need without using an additive and a MOPAR filter. Full synthetic in the rest of my vehicles .

did you loosen and retighten the trans mounts 4 nuts at the bottom of the skid so they could remove the tension from the mount also. Those 2.5" RC springs are pretty good just not RC shocks .

Do a 2-2.5" suspension and if that don't do what you want just add a 1" BL and then you have the 3" with a lot less issues and the BL opens the door to many more great mods .

In my opinion 6" of lift is to high for short arms let alone on stock control arms . You probably have no caster, a bunch of old flimsy arms and bushings . Personally I would get all new good quality...

Many different springs came on TJ/LJs through the years between 6 and 4 cyl , hard or soft top etc.... Look at the number on the tag if it is still on the springs. Problem is none are very new any...
