Pumps don't work very good when spun backwards.

Looks like soa with lift springs.
You can make out the spring up front going over the axle. Those springs have quite a bit of arch to them so they're not stock springs.

If you want to regear look into a Ford 8.8 from an explorer. The right years have disc brakes even.
