I have had my '87 YJ for about 3.5 years now. The soft top that came on it was wore out/ stretched and does not stay fastened when going down the road. What Soft tops do ya'll run and recommend?...

Mine are flush mount, and I don't have a tag plate, Still have this problem. Gotta keep turning the nozzle different directions til I find one that work. It's frustrating.

And the Verdict is the Starter has had it. Ordered one it should be delivered at 7am. Thanks for everyone's insight! Hopefully I have the wiring fixed and should be able to bolt and go.

I've got the starter off I guess Im gonna see if they can test it off of Jeep. Hopefully this is my issue since I'm getting power at all points through the system.

That's what I'm thinking too. IT is an occasional grinding. It didn't grind until I tried jumping the starter with jumper cables. So I dunno if starter is seized up or what.

So did that, it seemed to turn the starter over but wouldnt crank. It made a grinding type sound. My jumper cables may be fried now.... though they were smoking and hot. Could the starter be bad?

So I have 12v power to the starter, however the red wire on my starter which runs back to the solenoid or to starter relay has 0v this is what I am assuming is my issue...
