by saying it's at the bottom of the engine next to a pully means it's leaking at the lowest point where the serpentine belt routs, then, you're looking at a bad water pump.

timberwolf is right...swapping to a 4.0 would be easy cause everything "fits." unless i'm mistaken, the wranglers and cherokees share the same 4.0 engine and you can find a "donor" cherokee for next...
