JP mag did an article several years back on v8 engine swaps. They really didn't recommend any of the Ford modular motors(4.6 or 5.4) because of the shear size. They just don't fit in the engine bay....

Impossible !! I've never seen or heard of a Jeep getting any better than 18 - 20 mpg. Your speedo is probably off because you didn't change the speedo gear in the t-case.

I swapped to 4:10s & 31" tires & the engine was screaming. I went & switched to 33" tires & helped out a lot. As a dd, I wouldn't go that deep unless you go up in tire size.
