X2, Like Jerry I also removed mt stock 5spd manual tranny to install a 32rh. Its one of the best mods Ive done to my jeep.

The cage is complete and I also moved the rear seat forward almost 13" to gain more rear cargo space. The cage goes through the floor and into the frame at the A, B, and C pillars and the Jeep feels...

The diff on an 8.8 is off center by about 3", so not only is your driveshaft at a bigger angle from your lift but it is also now 3' off to the side. You definitely need a SYE and CV shaft.

Thanks, the jeep has been running great, I have over 1000 road miles on the jeep since the 1ton swap, and a few wheeling trips, I'm really happy with how it all came together.
