I installed mine on bolts instead of the supplied rivets, because no store around me had the rivet puller that was big enough to handle those monstrous rivets. So, incidentially, I have an option of...

I was so sure that JK's joints were double that I went into garage to look and take pictures. I only wish I did it before posting, because sure enough they are single.

The biggest misconception here is that the above does not apply to JK. There reason is, this acceleration and deceleration only occurs on a garden variety single joint, but if you look under JK,...

I think the shutdown voltage is determined by the voltage regulator and the battery brand. Of cours the regulator doesn't do anything when alternator is not turning, but the battery sits at a certain...

Well, it's easy for tall people to dismiss. I am 6'5", my JK is not lifted, and I actually sit down when I get into the jeep. Naturally, I never had this problem. However, let's have some empathy for...

I bought a Mopar Uconnect Bluetooth module ($500) and installed it myself. Turned out that it would not work with the radio until it's registered with the cabin node, so I had to crawl to the...

Extra gauges / computer

What is everyone's favourite additional gauges or cluster?

I'm looking for something that is relatively small, e.g. not a tuner's paradize iPad-sized thing. So, if an LCD, then 4.5" display. If...

I would also prefer a TJ-sized Wrangler. However, I do not recall many (or any, really) cars that shrunk successfuly. Everything grows bigger and bigger and bigger, and then it becomes too big and...

I think most people get sidewalls damaged when they pinch them rather than outright cut them. An attentive driver could control this condition to an extent.

I don't believe into the casting sand excuse for 1 second. If the sand was left from casting in the water passages, chances are, it would've been left in oil passages as well, and the engine would've...

One thing I would really like to see is a 7-pin connector which 3/4 ton pickups use for their trailers. Jeep generally does not have the tow rating to pull their trailers, but the problem is,...

I had a good experience with Yoko Geolandar A/T-S. However, to fit them on a JK, one must go all the way to E load rating.

It's pretty trivial on a JK because your weight is right in the ballpark for the stock wrench. Its handle is about a foot long, so if you press on it with half of your weight, you get about 90...

Strangely enough, I often found a way to use my Hi-Lift even though I'm not often on the trail. And always it's some other truck (last time it was my buddy's F-250). But at soon as he got stuck...

Corbeau Sportline RRS/Evolution

I'm thinking about replacing the stock seats on a 2010 JK to lower my seating position, and it looks Corbeau sells seats with lower seat base (they claim 2.5" base versus typical 4.5" for "TJ stock...

It's true that Duratrac in Rubi size is a higher load tire (2721 lbs), so it will feel different from our stock BGFs M/T KM. However, a few folks said they're using load class E tires (even greater,...
