I ordered the Drake fuel door with the plastic pin in the wrong location as well. I simply broke the pin off, drilled the required holes, and installed it. Piece of cake and no problems.

My 2-door has an 18-gallon tank, according to the manual. When the fuel light comes on, it takes a little over 14 gallons to fill it back up.

I think the 4-door has a larger tank.

I wrapped a shop rag around the shaft, slid a pipe wrench just below the knob, and gave the wrench a couple of "firm" taps from underneath with a rubber mallet. The knob popped right off.
