you can take both the alternator and the battery...

you can take both the alternator and the battery in tomorrow and they can test both for you for free.

battery is always the first thing to check and if it doesnt have volts the alternator is probably bad. and the mudding could have caused something, but sounds like the alternator.

the battery has 12.6v. i double check all the grounds from battery to starter to fame and they all where good. i did a voltage drop test though the cable and the max they lost was .3

the only reason i dont think its the ignition...

the only reason i dont think its the ignition switch is bc the key still locks in to place and i dont see how it would cause no dash lights or anything to not work.

ok update took the starter in and the starter...

ok update took the starter in and the starter passed so ill test the starter switch and see what happens

2006 jeep no power with key on

ok so yesterday my jeep started fine then today i had no power any where. no dome lights no headlights or anything. i have tested the battery and i have 12.6v and i tested the cable to the starter...
