A tight fit is the key. My homemade disconnects were very similar to this. They lasted 20k miles with no signs of loosening at the bushing end before I switched to the Antirock.

I installed the Shee Mar SM422 about a month ago....

I installed the Shee Mar SM422 about a month ago. It isn't quite as clicky feeling as the stock switch and turning on the hi beams takes a little more force. Beyond that, it works just fine.
