If thats an 01 then you have an overlay over your cluster.
I didn't drive my Jeep today so I'm not certain what light normally goes...

Agreed, Diff breather hose.
Its secured where its suppose to be, look down at your front differential. You should see that hose attached to the top of it.

See if they can test the Alt while its still in the Jeep. Sounds like it might not be charging your battery.

5W30 will help the issue if its the "normal" jeep tick. it being thinner helps it get to the top faster.
It likely won't make it go away, but it will help it.
