I did the same with a rear drive shaft. Mine doesn't vibrate at 35mph either, it does at 40 though :). Keep up the good work.

Oh...I can't remember when they changed to MPFI. If it is MPFI it should be 49 lbs. If it is TBI, I don't think it is enough for the 5.3.

It is my understanding that a traction bar of some kind is typically needed for SOA. I am not sure if the longer XJ rear springs help or hurt with axle wrap. I would have to think it was put there...

Once upon a time I ran my wires through the cowl seal. I never had any leaking issues, but can't guarantee you won't.

I am thinking adding another 5 1/2" of lift to your Jeep to deal with a little rubbing is a bit excessive. I would look in to a 1" shackle lift or a 1" body lift, better yet just get out the sawzall...
