So i went out today, removed the front carpet and found that the boards in the drivers floor pan were just damp, presumably because the carpet soaked it all up, while there was about 1/8" standing water on the passenger floor boards. All this came from me washing the jeep yesterday afternoon. After I vacummed it all up, checked all the seals, I went out with the Hose (and wife in the jeep) determined to find where I could force water in...

round 1 with the hose revealed that water was leaking into the drivers side floor pan when the hose was run (low pressure "shower" setting) on the driver side wiper by the whole where it connects into the body...not sure where its going after it runs through there to get into the jeep but it ends up on the drivers floor boards about 60 seconds after the water starts running there...my guess is it might be coming through the firewall by the steering column but i'll have to take the cowl off this weekend and have a closer look.

As for the passenger side, 15 minutes with the hose run everywhere, doors, hood vent, wiper mount, windshield, header, a pillar, etc and I couldn't get the bitch to leak...yet a routine carwash yesterday produced 1/8" of standing water....maybe i didn't have the door closed tightly??? we'll see.....
