I know that the unit has an integrated 4G LTE cellular radio but what I don’t know is what other components may be needed. I’m pretty sure that it’s plug-and-play as I have the SiriusXM satellite radio and the Dedicated navigation will just plug into that gps antenna from what im told. No one at my jeep dealership knows anything about this procedure because they do not offer it.
Sirius antenna is all you need for Nav to work.
My JL came factory with 7" and Apline sound system and dual climate control.
I Previously had an 8.4 in my Charger which I traded in for the Jeep and I wanted another 8.4. SO -
I purchased a used 8.4 off eBay. That unit was manufactured in 2018. It had issues with the back up camera being a green screen. Sent it back.
Last week i installed a brand new 8.4" which I purchased from a Mopar wholesaler at a price of $1256.00. Easy installed < 15 minutes. Initial start up followed by a power cycle and the NAV, backup camera, Media, Sirius, bluetooth, CarPlay, dual climate control - all worked. Obviously things like uconnect, auto dimming mirror etc wont work if your Jeep did not come factory with them.
The only issue I'v had is my backup camera lines sometimes disappear. Fuse pull 97 or let it sit overnight and they come back. I'm on software version 21. If I can get the latest version 28 that may solve that.
I considered purchasing a unit from the company you mentioned but I heard those are "refurbished" I talked with a Mopar mechanic on facebook and he said the 2019 radios self learn the features of your Jeep where the 2018 were programmed to your Jeeps features. He said that the other company has no way to program your VIN and they even at the dealership they don't have that capability.
I chose to have a new unit. Either way you go you'll pretty much be on your own if it fails as the Jeep did not come factory installed with an 8.4" Also getting software / firmware updates may present a challenge but not impossible. My dealer did say they will do the software/firmware updates but if something goes sideways they are not liable.
