Still waiting!!!!!

I ordered a new 2 door Jeep way back in June the 9th to be exact my dealer said 4 to 6 weeks tops so as of today still no word anybody that has ordered a 2 door what has your wait time been. My dealer told me there is a recall and they wonít deliver it until itís fixed so I asked if it could come in as a 2020 and I was told no itís built just waiting 14 and a half weeks to date

Sounds odd. I've seen people wait 9 weeks but I saw another post recently where theirs came in 10 days. I would imagine it's what they have in the pipeline that varies.

A recall? There's the v41 steering damper issue but the factory would be using the new part at this time since dealers already have the part. You might ask what recall is holding production since it sounds fishy.

I thought this was going on way to long and about the time I was supposed to get mine there was a train wreck loaded with new jeeps but even if that was the case another one should have been ready by now it was kind of an odd ball maybe they sold to someone else I was getting a real good deal if I didnít have money tied up on aftermarket parts sitting n the garage I might cancel my order and reorder a 2020

There was a train derailment July 10th in Nevada which trashed some Wranglers, Gladiators and Chevy trucks. If yours was on that train then I wouldn't pick any lottery numbers. What are the odds!?

I got my '18 last August. I suppose where it helps me is; it makes my mileage look a little more "normal".

20's are coming and I have an '18 with 27k miles in 14 months.

Still waiting but I have talked to my dealer he states he doesn’t understand it that and he has talked to his rep at Jeep and can’t get any answers. I could make this into a novel but the shorter version is I have a great relationship and other dealings with them. I think maybe he never ordered it because it was such an odd ball and maybe he thought if I backed out of the deal he didn’t want to get stuck with it in any event........I’m still waiting

Why was it an odd ball?

I second this question. Nothing on the option sheet should make any Jeep an oddball?

Iíd cancel, as you said he expects you too, and order through a different dealer. Iím going to suggest they donít value your relationship as much as you seem to value theirs.

Also, you may be able to get it a little cheaper. I got on the Jeep website and built a 2020 with the same options my 2018 has and the MSRP was $1,050 less than mine.

I ordered a sport s loaded up with every option there is other than wheels and side steps including adaptive cruise control and lane monitoring sensors normally a jeep like that would be a Rubicon or maybe a Sahara but I didn’t want it any taller as I have a bad hip my son told me to get a four door and a Sahara or rubicon and that normally a a two door isn’t that loaded up but I was planning on towing it behind my motor home and it’s only the wife and I we never carry passengers personally I love the look of the two door and the little beach town we live in the smaller the better for parking and driving

My guess is that he either did not order it or they sold it to somebody else. Either way, cancel your order and re-order somewhere else.

Most people order a vehicle by signing a contract, and providing a deposit that is credited against what is usually, but not always, an agreed upon final delivery price.

The gentleman you have made your agreement with may not have to power to proceed without a signed written contract, and now it seems embarrassing for both parties to come to terms with the idea that a gentleman's agreement may not be enough to instigate the procurement of a special order jeep.

When I ordered my 20 JLUR I did it all via email. Dealer never asked for deposit or anything signed. After a week, I reminded him he never took a deposit. He said he’d call me later. Never did. Got the Jeep 4 weeks later. Talk about trust!

Just move on, order the Jeep somewhere else. It's obvious they don't value you as a repeat customer.

Unless it is a deal too good to pass up I would pass and get a 2020 as you are already going to suffer a years depreciation. At the very least go over it with a fine tooth comb before signing the papers.

I simply can't believe you let this go on like this. What don't we know?

EDIT: I don't men to imply that you are lying. Not at all. This story is just incredible. Why would you let yourself get kicked around?

You have to actually get the Wrangler to get the rebates...

That said, the rebates apply to all dealers. Move on and get a Jeep somewhere where they want to sell you one.
