05 Jeep Wrangler Sport

We just bought our very first Jeep, an 05 Jeep Wrangler Sport for my wife.

I've been on this forum for a little while lurking trying to learn as much as I can about these Jeeps. We took it up into the mountains yesterday and holy crap it was a blast. Now I want one for myself

The jeep is in pretty good condition. However, the day after we brought it home the check engine light came on (telling us there was an issue with the catalytic converter). The dealer said it was probably due to new gas and it should go away in a couple of days. (we shall see). There does appear to be a small oil leak that I am trying to pin point currently. Nothing major, just a drop or two while its parked overnight.

It has a soft top on it, which the dealer told us was new but based on some of the wear marks I don't really believe that to be the case. I would like to get a more traditional bikini top for the summer time and a hard top for winter.

The interior is in good shape however the center console seems to shake a little (not sure if this is normal, or if its just loose - haven't had time to investigate). It is the rubber inserts for the font and rear cup holders which I need to find replacements for so the drinks don't bounce around everywhere. There is also no locking device in the center console (not sure if it ever came with one but the push button is also broken).

All in all, we absolutely love it thus far. (and now I want to get one of my own). We are looking forward to finding some trails to go on in the Nampa area and taking the whole family out camping off in the woods.

Can't wait to learn even more on here.
