'16 JKU Rubicon New Owner

Last Thursday (6-30-16) on the last day of the month, quarter, and half of the year, I figured I may be able to find a good deal on a new Jeep. Well after a day of talking to dealers needing to make sales and ones willing to negotiate, I traded in my '12 Boss 302 for a '16 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon.

We weren't planning on getting navigation but the deal was good and we think it was worth the package (9-spkr Alpine System).

Here she is with our previous family vehicle. Now the '02 Escape will be my DD as my wife will drive the Rubicon daily. I drive way more than her each day (try and keep the daily miles low) and she's been dying for a Rubicon.

And here is my old joy. I'll miss her but she had over 60k miles on her and was starting to have issues (AC went out on me at 40k).

We're pumped to have an awesome adventure vehicle and are already planning our beach trips (starting tomorrow) to Galveston and our camping trips starting with Big Bend this fall.

Since these pics were taken, I have added a Rugged Ridge receiver.

Thanks for the warm welcomes!
We took her out wheeling in Galveston, TX this weekend down at Surfside beach and broke her in nice and easy. It was my wife's first time using four wheel drive and bouncing all over the place while going through ruts and muddy dips. We had a blast and are already working to plan an off road trip soon, maybe a Jeep Jamboree or something similar.
