57 Years Old and First Wrangler

Purchasing a 2004 Wrangler X with 68k miles on Monday. Very excited to get in my first Wrangler and look forward to building relationships here like I have for the last 9 years at my beloved Fred"s TDI Forum.

I am sure there is the same kind of passion for sharing and helping people here.

Live in the beautiful foothills of NC and will be shaking own my TJ at Lower Wilson Creek rec area Monday afternoon!

Thanks in advance for the help I know I will be getting soon.
Bruce

Shout out to SocalGal that directed me to the site!

Mod's if this double post is an issue please remove. Just trying to get as much feedback as possible. Thanks

First TJ build - Need help

First I am considering a light lift to pull off the 15 steelie's with 225/75R15 and install 17 alloys with 285/70R17 or 32.7.

The lift I am considering is coil and shock since mine is older and could most likely need replacing.
Rough Country 2.5 in. Suspension Lift Kit w/ Performance 2.2 Shocks (97-06 Wrangler TJ w/6 Cyl) Rough Country Wrangler 2.5 in. Suspension Lift Kit w/ Performance 2.2 Shocks PERF653 (97-06 Wrangler TJ w/6 Cyl) - Free Shipping

The rims are Helo HE878 Wheel with Satin Black Finish (17x9"/5x4.5")
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...A1GA0IE2X5Z858

The tire are most likely Kanati Trail Hogs 285/70/R17
https://www.tires-easy.com/brands/ka...de=LTG1728570E
I know they are new to market but I just like what I have read and see. Other consideration is Nitto Terra Grappler G2
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I am on a budget and this will not be used hard, but rather spirited weekends now and then and fun with the top down.

I am green at this. Been out of lifted 4WD since 1985, so I need your help and advise to let me know what I am missing. Thanks. Look forward to the discussion.
