Another Newbie from Nova Scotia, Canada

This is a 67 year old Newbie. Guess rock climbing will not be for me, nor are mall visits. I'm not new to Jeeps, I did own a 1956 Austin Champ with 4 liter Rolls Royce engine. If you Google it, you might recognize it as the same Jeep that was used in the series Baa Baa Black Sheep as "Japanese". It does look a little like the Mitsubishi (WW II edition). I also owned a Grand Cherokee, with a Mercedes Benz 3.0 liter Common Rail Diesel. But I guess that doesn't count. And now I own a 2015 Sahara Unlimited.

When serving in the Dutch Army, I did have the privilege of driving a model 1943 jeep. At the time a fair number of them were still in storage at the army, in case of (the cold war era). Complete with US Army markings and copper instruction plates.

So I can vouch that the headlights on the 2015 jeep are not much brighter than on the 1943 ones. Guess they didn't want the Germans to see them too early. That's why Rostra DRL and Truck-Lite LED with heated lenses (this is Canada eh) were my first mods. And gas struts to keep up the hood, much easier on the old man.
