Thumbs up Audio

Hey all,
I recently got a used 2004 Jeep Wrangler. Everything on it is great except the stereo. I was wondering what i should do to make sure i can crank up the music a little bit without getting distortions. Im looking for crisp loud music. Any suggestions for upgrades?

At the top of the page where it says "Jeep Wrangler forum", click the link and it'll show you all the forums. Scroll down to Communications/electronics, which is more appropriate than tech for this. Click it... A zillion twelve threads will pop up, at least half of which are related to audio upgrades. Read them, you will find answers to your questions. Keep in mind, it's difficult to attain awesome audio in a topless vehicle.. Not impossibe, but challenging. Simply upgrading the head unit and speakers will make a remarkable difference. I just upgraded mine a week ago, put 6.5" speakers in the soundbar and 5.25" in front and along with a new head unit, it sounds infinitely better than stock.
