choices

If you had a choice between a 2018 JK Wrangler Unlimited Rubicon or a 2018 JL Unlimited Sahara for the same $ , which would it be ?

to the Forum..

Hmmm...that is a tough choice! Road test them both and then make a decision of which one you like best. Also in the equation, think about how you are going to be using it. The Sahara will be great on highway, and will take you places you never dreamed of off Road. But if your primary goal is hard core off road rock crawling, then I would go with the Rubicon. Your choice..

I'd have to go with the Rubicon, but that's just me.

In the mean time, I just like to say . . .

The Rubicon will hold its value a tad bit better in the long run if that is a consideration...

If you're out shopping, I guess you know by now both hold their values pretty dang well compared to all other vehicles out there...

If you're going to really be off roading - go with the Rubicon

If you're going to stay mainly on the roads all the time, Sahara might be the choice for you as you won't need all the added off road Rubicon "stuff"...

Thanks everybody , I'm not a serious off roader , but this coming year I'll be retiring and have many off grid properties out west to explore and I want to make sure I'm ready for most challenges . I guess it really comes down to if the new JL design is enough to beat out a better equiped JK .

The Rubicon has features that will cost you thousands of dollars to upgrade on the Sahara. The Rubicon has everything you need for most off road adventures. The Sahara is Jeeps on road model. I personally do not like the color matching roof and fenders. That's up to you.
