Counting down the days!

Hello Everyone!

I'm a newbie, and am counting down the days until I can pick up my new Wrangler X, probably the end of next week. I have driven some sort of 4x4 for years, and am finally able to reward myself with the Jeep.

In prior years we were big in dune riding and lots of sand drags. I now feel that I am a bit too old to be taking the quad up testosterone hill anymore, but I still want to be there to watch both of my sons race. I thought that the Jeep would be a sweet way to get me up on the dunes, yet still be a very cool ride for a fairly young grandma!

I am so glad that I found your forum. I have been reading all morning and have made note of some great info. Thank you, thank you!

Thanks guys! I am so excited...having a hard time sleeping, or concentrating at work. I guess it probably doesn't help that I have a pic. of the "soon to be mine" Jeep as wallpaper on my computer, lol.

I am happy to find so many girls and (really nice guys) on this forum. Although I don't know a ton about wrenching, I was pretty much raised in a garage and schooled on the dragstrip. Both of my adult sons are "gearheads" and my exhusband and I spent most of our free time on MX trails and in sand. I recently was fortunate enought to join the ranks as breast cancer "survivor" and have decided that my "mid-life Corvette" is going to be a Jeep! It will take me everywhere that I want to go and will get me back up on the dunes so that I can watch my sons drag the monsters that they build.

Thanks again for the warm welcome. I can't wait until I can send you a picture of my "baby" when it is sitting in my own driveway!

Congratulations and welcome to the club. This is a great place for all departments. Jeep is a lot more fun than a Corvette.
