Talking First Jeep. 1997 Wrangler TJ

Hello all. Brand new to the whole world of jeeps. I'm coming out of a Chevy K1500 Stepside pickup with a 5.7ltr 350. Doing 200 miles a week round trip to work I was looking for a little bit of a break from the $100+ in fuel. I could not sacrifice the dependability of the 4X4 ability due to the demands of my job in the New York City winter months.
My purchase is a 1997 Jeep Wrangler. It has a 4" lift, 31" tires and the "death wobble" I will be doing a lot if research here. I have read the "Newbies please read" sticky by Chris AKA "The crazy, angry Moderator" My Chevy forum was the same way and makes it very inviting for us newbies. I thank you for that.
I will be talking to you all soon and picking your brains. Thank you in advance in case I forget.

Welcome! And gotta give you much respect for buying a rig that already has DW. I barely have any confidence in my "wrenching" abilities

Thank you all. And dove00021 we'll see how my wrenching ability goes. I'm feeling a little confident but I haven't done anything yet. Lol. Wish me luck. Gonna need it from what I read

I'm was definitely not able to do anything to a vehicle before I got my jeep, but now I've fixed and worked on a ton of things. So if I can do it, ANYONE can. Jeeps are easy to work on. Keep us posted on your progress.
