Smile First Jeep RHD! Greetings from WI!

My wife and I just bought our first Jeep! It's a right hand drive, 2010 Wrangler Unlimited Sport. And it's freakin' sweeet man! I love this thing way more than I thought I was going to. I never realized before how many enthusiasts jeep owners there are until we bought one. Which was mostly for her mail route but it's our only 4wd too. So I'll be using it to get into the interior wilderness here in northwest WI. It doesn't bother me driving on the right...just makes it interesting! Happy trails fellow jeepers!

I am a mail carrier so I drive a RHD JKU for work. My personal jeep is a JK. Best part is that I get to jeep all day! So how did your wife survive the holidays? I was working 12-14 hour days for almost 2 weeks straight. It about killed me!

You are going to love your jeep!!!

She made it through the holidays okay this year. She said it wasn't as bad this year as it was last year. But she's only a sub right now, so it's mostly working Saturdays, sometimes friday and whenever they need help. Last Saturday was the first time delivering in the Jeep. Before she was using a toyota carolla and got used to that. Now she's got to get used to the jeep, but she loves it so far! I'm going to build a tray like thing to set on the passenger seat that'll make it easier to keep her mail next to her. How long have you been a mail carrier? Robin's been a sub 2 yrs now. We've talked about getting a 4wd and an SUV for so long now. Then the job came along and we just decided might as well get one rhd. She delivers in the snow belt. Lots of lake effect snow off Lake Superior. But she sure seems to like doing it. I'm glad she found a job she likes! Like you say, getting paid to Jeep all day long! Who knows maybe she'll work her way in to doing it full time someday!

I have been doing this since August of last year. Unlike most carriers - we are a private contractor as this area is considered rural. I don't get the benefits that the USPS employees get but the pay is pretty good. Since I deliver in Park City - deal with lots of snow and am so thankful to have the jeep. The weather gets pretty nasty as I am sure it does where you are. I work 5 days a week - I don't ever think I could do 6 days - just not enough rest and I am so not a morning person.

December was rough - I did work 6 days a week the entire month and the last Sunday before Christmas was also a work day. Was so glad to get through Christmas that now the job seems so much easier

My company provides my work jeep - are you in a rural area to where you are contracted and have to provide your own vehicle?

Yeah my wife works for the USPS here and is a rural carrier. So they have to use their own vehicle but they do get paid mileage to help w/ maintenance costs and gas. We were planning on getting an suv anyway just decided, might as well get one RHD for her job so we went w/ the jeep! Yay! We both love that thing now! I notice them a lot more, everywhere I go. I wouldn't mind getting another older one just for 4x4ing now someday!
