First time Jeep owner

Looking for help with the hard top/soft top thing. I just purchased a 2001 Wrangler TJ. Currently, the hard top is on..but there is a soft top that appears to be assembled, but unattached resting in the back of the jeep. I have a few issues, first I cannot even open the soft top to see it or how it works without actually removing the hard top. Second, I don't see any of the window pieces anywhere in the jeep(so I'm guessing I'll need to figure out who the mfg of the top is and order them). Lastly, once I do get adventurous enough to remove the hard top, I wouldn't have a clue as to how to install the soft top. It appears the bars are already attached to the soft top, but looks like they need to be attached to the actual jeep somehow. I didn't find any hardware in the jeep, but did find an Allen wrench set. How can i figure this all out?? My fear is that I will take of the hard top and have no idea what to do with the soft top.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
