Flooding???

I have a 1997 Jeep Wrangler with a four cyclinder motor.
When the motor is cold it starts right up. No problem. When the motor has been running for a while and you go to re-start the jeep it acts like it's flooded and it can be kind of hard to start.
It starts when I pump the gas pedal a few times but it acts as if its getting too much gas.
Anybody have any ideas???
My mechanic said he thought it was some kind of sensor going or gone bad but he said he's run every test on it he can think of and no failures are showing up.

You might want to check this link https://www.wranglerforum.com/f5/tj-error-codes-358.html - you can pull your own error codes on the 97's. Might give you some indication of what problem is. You'll probably get more help if you post your question in the TJ forum too as opposed to this Neewb check in forum.

Good luck and welcome aboard!
