Greetings from along the Amish Frontier

Greetings fellow Jeepers, Ranger Joe here, yet another newbie to the forum.

My wife and I picked up a Unlimited Rubicon Hard Rock last September and have been having an absolute blast with it so far. We started offroading with a stock '06 Liberty, gradually fitted it with a lift, armor and a winch, and eventually our skills grew beyond the capabilities of our trusty little we upgraded. In a big way.

We had participated in four Jeep Jamborees with the Libby, three in Ouray and one at Arch Canyon, and met the best bunch of trail guides I could ever imagine. One worked for AutoNation in Denver, and we always joked with him that someday we'd fly to Denver, pick up a Rubicon, go Jeeping in Colorado and then drive it home. Last September, the funding fell into place and we did just that. Drew picked us up at the airport, then we spent a week in Ouray, a few days in Sedona and Utah, then headed back to Ohio.

We just got back last week from another Jamboree in Arch Canyon, our first with the Hard Rock, and it was absolutely wonderful. Little things like not worrying about grenading our differential, and lockers, and hill descent control, and 4.10 gears...and heated seats.

Here's our beastie, somewhere near Imogene Pass between Ouray and Tellurige. No official name, but we sometimes refer to it as the Tank (since that's it's official color).

Feed the rangers, not the wildlife!
