Greetings from Luxembourg

Hi community,

I'm thrilled to have joined this forum. I'm currently without a Jeep, but am trying my best to change that in the near future

I'm particularly interested in the new JK model and wanted to ask how reliable they were, i.e. engine wise. If anyone could share their opinion, I would most appreciate it

Cheers,
Joël

Welcome to WF !

Here in Europe I would only buy the 2.8L Diesel JK. It´s way beter than the 3.8L V6.

Yes it is! Love it to bits! It's not the best daily commuter though, hence my quest for a more practical vehicle, like the Wrangler, which I have always been very fond of.

here's another pic

Thanks, that's precisely what my Jeep dealer has advised me as well.

Is automatic better than manual ?

IMO automatic is better. But that´s only my personal preference.
Off the road automatic is better, on the road it diesn´t matter.

The 2.8L CRD has way more torque at lower RPMs. It feels like the 4.0L in a TJ. The 3.8L needs more RPM for the same engine power.
And the 2.8L is more economical.

Howdy! and if your going to use the Jeep as a daily driver it doesn't get the best gas mileage in the world but it is the most fun to drive!
