Greetings from North Florida

Hey guys. My name is Matt and I'm the proud new owner of a 89 yj with the 4.2 258. I have owned motorcycles for a while now and have love tooling and fixing them and have always wanted to have a jeep to tool with as well. So I sold my ranger and got this beaute.

She runs strong, 4X4 works, I have some work to do to get her to my liking, but excited. The PO seems like a POS, he said he's had a fuel starvation problem and has had trouble starting. When I got it home I saw this the first 10 seconds under the hood.....

Ahh the old zip tied fuel line....? What? Oh I'm just waiting to see the rest of the weirdness. So today I changed a lot of hoses, inspected the carbs which I might replace down the road, and installed new speakers, wires, an deck. Which I will say was the most difficult stereo speaker installation ever! Anyway I will be turning to this forum for info and advice quite often so thanks in advance for help. And I'm no spring chicken either, only respect and hopefully no noob questions from me. Cheers.

Zip tied fuel line, WTF? Sounds like you need to go over your rig with a fine toothed comb to see if you can find any more wierdness.

In the mean time . . .
