Harley to Wrangler

Doc says i'll never ride again so I sold my harley( I have owned a Harley continuosly for over 30 years) and used the money to buy a new to me Jeep Wrangler.
I bought a 2000 sahara and I already love it and have only had it a week. something fun about it and it keeps me in the wind(as soon as I get the soft top installed)
I'll be using My Wrangler for fun and as a toad to tow behind my motorhome.
Happy to be here and hope I gain lots of knowledge and helpful tips.
X

Welcome. I sold my bike for a Wrangler, but for different reasons a month ago…. I don't regret it at all.

To bad you to get rid of the Harley a wrangler is not a bad replacement. Drop the top and take off the doors close feeling to the two wheels.

Not to hijack the thread, but for whatever reason, I just lost the passion to ride. My wife lost the passion 7 years ago when our daughter was born. She sold her bike and refused to get on the back of mine. My bike was just wasting away in the garage. Now I have something the whole family can enjoy and I can use all year round.

Welcome aboard! There is actually a tight community between Harley's and Wrangler's. Maybe we get a similar vibe to the open road

Im gonna be in the same boat soon, Im selling my 09 HD FXD I too just lost all passion and fire in my soul for riding. So Im going back to my roots and getting into another Wrangler, Ive had 2 before a 1991 Wrangler Renegade and an 02 Wrangler Sport. I just ordered a 2012 Rubicon! So if anyone wants to buy a HD West Coast/ Sons of Anarchy style bike let me know.

I sold my bike a few days after I bought my current Wrangler.
I'm 62 years old and I've ridden 100,000+ miles without ever going down.
I've had plenty of close calls and I don't feel like pushing my luck.

Amazing. I think I see a pattern tween jeeps and Harleys. Pretty cool

Here are a few pics of my rides with two wheels...

Attachment 67904

1971 Kawasaki H1 Triple
2008 HD Sportster 883L (Wifes)
2004 HD Softail Deuce

Attachment 67905

2006 HD Street Glide

I can't leave out my 4 wheeled love either...

Attachment 67906

I love riding and wheeling equally. I would be torn between going on an epic ride or going nuts on some technical trails.

Yeah it's customary - I wave at other Wranglers all the time.

I've never owned a Harley but I have a nice Honda VTX 1800 that I have only ridden once since I got my Wrangler back in March. Thinking of selling it - but it's paid for and I'm in no hurry.

Welcome to the forum!

I think so.... there are similarities between the Jeep and Harley comunities for sure.

X, too bad about the Harley, sure hope I don't ever have to make that call.

I have 2 jeeps but have an R6 instead of a Harley. Maybe one day when I am older and slower I will switch to something that has more comfort for two wheels. Put 38k on my R6 in 4 years of owning it and bought it new.
