New to the forum. My first jeep was an MJ - parted with her after hitting 240k mi.
I have a new/used 2014 JK Rubicon Granite sitting in the drive this morning.
Making a trade for my truck. An outright swap no cash except paperwork with the car dealership. They wanted the Jeep off the lot and here in the midwest trucks are easier to sell in farm country than a Jeep.
The deal 2012 2500HD LT Z71 with 41,400 miles for the 2014 JK Rubi loaded only thing missing is the backup camera. Not so worried about that, but would help hooking up the boat. heated seats, I could care less about that, but the wife likes it. navigation, touch screen etc. The new ride only has 14,400mi on it. i'm pretty stoked. I get a newer low mileage ride from the trade and a warranty to boot...Plus its a JEEP!
They are both the same dealer trade in value according to NADA, KBB etc., so I proposed an outright swap. They have agreed pending inspection. We traded vehicles last night in Kieler WI. They let me take the Jeep home to test drive and see if I liked it.
Hope to complete the transaction today after they check my truck out.
A little about me...originally from Stillwater NJ, Sussex County, lived in Parke County Indiana for 13 or so years and moved to Iowa about 9 years ago.
I love to bow hunt my farm here in Jackson County IA, trout fish the yellow River up North in Allamakee county. I also travel down to Arkansas to trout fish on the White River.
I'm heading up to the Pere Marquette River in Michigan with either this Jeep in the driveway or a new one thanksgiving week to do a little steelhead fishing and bring home my Stealthcraft trout boat. Looking forward to being back in a Jeep....albeit an entirely new experience in the JK!
