Hey, new jk owner from Sunny Florida

Hey guys, this is my first post. Purached my first Jeep on Dec 31st, 2016. 2weeks after that some buddies planned a hiking trip. We went to 6 states in 7 days. Hiking, camping, white water, wheeling! We had an amazing time. My favorite part was wheeling the Jeep up Rabans Bald in Ga. We travelled from FL to Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina. I installed a K&N cold air intake before we took off. Jeep was great. Smooth ride, we cruised at about 65-70mph on the highway. Got 12.5 to the gallon. It was a 2k mile trip. I can keep going on, but I won't. I have 3 go pros filled with footage and as soon as I edit it I'll post it! Anyway im excited to be a part of the Wrangler community and look forward to learning from the experience on here!!

-Aaron

Aaron, welcome and I have to say your Jeep is really nice, love the pics. Can you list some things you did to it as many readers like to compare notes and or use it for their own Jeep?

Ya!
Jeep has
4in lift (rough country)
Light bar (tough country)
35's
Mojo metal wheels
K&N cold air intake.
Cloth interior.
It is a '16 with 6k on it when I bought it.

Next upgrade will be the headlamps. Stock bulbs are embarrassing.

I love the Jeep! My previous ride was an 02 Trans am that I owned for 12 years. Only had 87k on it when I sold it. I traded speed for freedom and I'm happy I did!

Tell me about Raban bald. I've been in that area a few times, never with my Jeep but I will this summer. I thought it was all hiking, they have jeep trails too? This sounds interesting

Rabans Bald was a nice easy hike. You can free lance camp as well so we set up on the summit! The view is awesome. We went up Bertram's trail starting at Beegum gap. There is a hiking trail and right next to it is a path wide enough for the Jeep! It takes you about half way up to a campsite with a fire pit. Wheeling up was awesome!! I have footage that I need to edit! Waking up to that view is worth staying overnight!
