Hope to be a Jeep Owner Soon

I am not a Jeep owner yet, but hope to be soon. I've been looking for a couple months, think I have my wife convinced this would be a fun weekend toy. I've checked out many other sites on the web, but found Wrangler Forum, and learned more tonight than all the other sites I visited in the past. I would like to find a older, probably YJ, 6 cyl, 5 speed, in the $3500 range. I can do a lot of work myself, but don't want to start out having to do major drivetrain or body work. If anyone knows of one that sounds like this let me know. I live in Nebraska, but would travel a reasonable distance if need be. Tried to post this on the Wanted Thread, but I may be too new of a member or didn't do it right. Looking forward to all the great input from other members.

Welcome! Have you tried all the sites such as Craigslist, Ebay motors, autotrader, all that good stuff?

Welcome! My buddy just sold his 93 YJ not too long ago for around that price (lil cheaper if I recall correctly) in pretty decent shape...needed some minor work, but the body and drivetrain were in good condition. Keep your eyes open and you'll find one!

Welcome to the Forum. If you have the wife convinced, you're over halfway there. Finding the right Jeep is now the easy part

Thanks, yes have been checking all the usual spots, looked at one yesterday but it was really rough. More of a project than I want to start and high miles. Will keep looking though.
