Howdy from Texas Aggieland

My first Jeep was a 46 CJ2A. I started driving it in 1965. I have owned a 51 Willys wagon, a 56 Willys pickup, a 79 CJ7, a 80 full size Cherokee, XJs, ZJs and several more over the years. And that doesn't cover the Chevy, Ford and Dodge 4x4s. My daily driver is a 94 ZJ, 242 transfer, mild lift, 373 gears and a winch bumper.

I found a 93 Wrangler with 123K miles and busted rear axle. It has been sitting in a shed for around 10 years. The owner died some years ago and the title cannot be found but I'm willing to secure a "Bonded Title".

It's a 4.0 engine with a 5 speed manual with a 231 transfer and 411 gears.

It's pretty much intact but someone has removed the radiator, radio, winch and battery. It has half doors and no dents or rust. I purchased it for $500. I have an 88 XJ that can donate a rear axle but gears will have to change from 355 to 410.

I'll have dumb questions from time to time but not too many until I get it home this weekend.

And, NO. I will not tell you where it is right now...

We don't get to spend much time on the trails but I have spent a good number of weekends at Hidden Falls. We have too many grandkids to get away much. I plan on the Wrangler becoming my daily driver. It's about 150 yards from the house to where I work but I get to do a little off roading from time to time for the company.

We have a lot of 4x4s in the family, from XJs to 2500 Suburban with a 8.1. We just bought a grand daughter a 98 Durango 4x4. My son is building a 81 Scrambler with a 5.7 Hemi and I'm slowly building a 57 W200 with a 360 magnum and new axles. Pretty soon we can do our own trail rides.
