I don't know...

Howdy folks,

I'm Jean, from Rouyn-Noranda, in NW Quebec, Canada.

i am looking for a Wrangler, in order to

A- hang a lil' ole plow on the front, to clean the driveway in winter
B- drive around in my back yard (90 wooded acres) and clean around trails, etc.
C- just have plain old fun with it (hunting, fishing, etc)

I've been a member of a few classic car forums for a few years, but that car hibernates. I just registered, because this IS where the knowledge should be found in my experience...

I'm no mechanic, by the way.

this here Wrangler is advertised as a '97, but got a fuel injected 318 stuck in there. I just drove 3 hours round trip to see it start A OK, but no fluid in the brake reservoir.

ahem... pardon my french...

would a lower mileage 6 banger do fine for snow? i'm doubting for a 4 cylinder. we often get a foot or more at a sitting, up here.

my mind is set on a Wrangler, no matter what.

G-day eh?

6 cylinder 4.0 would be your best option IMO. Although that v8 would be quite nice haha.

Make sure you coat the frame with something to avoid rust.

unfortunately, no rust meant e 2x4"hole on top of the fender, and everything works started with a passenger side wiper that only works if at high speed...

so, a 1000 mile round trip without coming back with a jeep. A moosehole (bigger than a pothole) later, back home.

2 other possibilities turned out to be scams.

Back to the drawing board

i'll find something yet. Now looking for a YJ, 1994 or earlier. Our elected fraudsters are going to seriously tax 4l and up proportionally to displacement for '95 vehicles and later. At least, ity dpesn't affect my '68 Cougar

i'll keep looking.

There's one out there with your name on it. Sometimes it just takes a little while to find it. Good luck with your ongoing search.
