Hello all,
I have been snooping around here for a few weeks now since my daughter bought us a 1995 yj from the wrecking yard to replace her 1994 s-10 ss.
In my past life I was a liscensed auto body repairman so I've been working on cars for over thirty years.
Here at our house we have a 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser,!996 Land Rover Disco1,!937 Chevy pickup And now a 1995 Jeep Yj that we have painted, bed lined the tub and hardtop and are now getting ready for the safety check and put on the road.
I am here because we are having trouble with the "idiot" light cluster between the tach and speedo. Nothing in it works either before we pulled the dash or now after it's re-installed and I mean nothing! No parking brake light, no signal light indicators, service engine light nothing!
Any ideas where to look?

Welcome.....Grounds, fuses, etc....I seem to remeber a ribbon cable behind the cluster. There have been a few threads over the years about having to solder in wire jumpers over burned out sections of the ribbon.

I am about to purchase a very clean 1997 TJ from a dealer. It has 64000 mi. They will sell it for 9995$ 'out the door' As a first time jeep owner I am wondering if this a fair price and if there any problems I should look out for? Any advice will be appreciated !

looks clean.. seems like alot of money for a 97 tj. you should post this in the TJ tech section you would get more advice there. good luck.
