jeep girl from bama, new here...

hi all, just wanted to post a hello. ive been reading on here for a couple of months, and just joined. i bought my baby, a 2004 sahara in march, and i am in heaven. i have wanted a jeep for years! the CEO of the doctors office i work in has a 2010 4 door rubicon, and has given me the lowdown on 3 places i can go riding at, but im kinda scared..ive been the passenger for years on offroading, but never the driver.
anyway, you guys are hysterical to read on, and i look forward to learning from everyone.

Welcome Colepatched! Huntsville native also, have you been to Hale Mountain OHV? It is about 40 min. northeast of Huntsville in Elora, TN. There is also Stoney Lonesome OHV in Cullman, I haven"t been there yet but I here it a good place to ride also.

Those are two of the places I was told about. There is also one called Grey Stone OHV, in Mt. Olive.
So you live in this area too? :-)

Welcome to the Forum

Until you get comfy with off-roading your baby, take it slow and steady, try to 'wheel with friends

And remember: Wranglers have amazing off road capabilities - even stock!

I don't have anywhere as of yet. There are three places up here that I was gonna try, but I love the ones that don't require a fate fee.  there is a big cornfield behind my house I thought about tooling around in...

That's good to know; I was a little worried that I would have to mod it before I took it offroad. I just bought some 30' A/T's cause I had bought it with crap sport king 30' and they were cupping me straight into the death wobble.
I want to see what she can do, but like you said go slow and steady until I get to know her offroad. I have a ton of friends back home that offroad, but I don't know anyone up here yet.

Will do. Have you been to Hale Mountain? I thought about going there first. Also, I have a friend who's husband knows some trails that he uses to go hunting. If I get the info on where those are, we should meet up and wheel together. 

Welcome to the family.
I have a 4 dr and I will always wave, even if on the phone, that's what "hands free" is for - so you don't drop your phone out the window when you wave.

Hello. I'm a new jeeper from Huntsville/Madison area too. First jeep and I get sad if I don't get to drive her everyday.
