Exclamation Jeep heat.

Hi all, I'm new to the wrangler forum.

Like every other Jeep owner on this forum, I understand that it's sometimes hard to find good information on how to resolve issues, or how to know what to buy, but the wrangler forum seems like the best place to learn how to become well informed on just about everything.

Now to my first question;

My wrangler was bought used and came without carpeting but came with cheap jeep rubber matts that I eventually replaced with Rugged ridge matts which fit in nicely. My biggest problem today is that after maybe 45 minutes of driving my vehicle, the area under the dash of both the passenger and drivers side becomes very hot to the point that the only way of cooling it down, you must not drive the car, or blow air down to your feet (and this method is almost useless). Heat also seems to develop in the center dash behind the AC switch panel. So my question is, what could be a good way to make amends to the jeep so that I can prevent me and my friends' feet from cooking? Will re-carpeting maybe keep the heat out?

Cheers!

Well, I don't have anything to add to what's already been said so well.

I just wanted to stop by and say . . .
