JK or LJ for first jeep

I'm in the market for a new toy. Won't be doing a ton of hardcore off road but want something to get me to and from my camping/ hunting grounds. Plus have a little fun.
Want to run 35's with a mild lift.

I'm looking at either the JK unlimited or the LJ (TJ- unlimited)
Looking for pros cons on both....obviously cost for the LJ is a plus. What are your guys' thoughts?

Thanks.

to the Forum..

Entirely two different Rides. Most on a Wrangler Forum will be partial to what they own.
They are both very capable Wranglers. Tough choice..

Welcome to the Forum Uin2it!

Being an LJ owner, I'm a bit biased.

I have/had 3 JKs but I'd vote LJ. Still lots of room and fewer electronics to wrong

Go with the JK but don't do a 4 door. Four door Jeeps are for soccer moms and grocery runs.

Thanks for the inputs, honestly Im surprised to see so much enthusiasm for the LJ!
It is cheaper, but doesn't have the more powerful engine. I think thats what turns me off a bit....
Hard to find one at a decent price though with under 60k miles.
