Let myself introduce myself?

Been into offroading for a while, but I'm new to the JKs. I like both overlanding and rockcrawling. Basically like being in the backcountry away from civilization. Besides offroading, I'm an avid mtn biker, hiker, backpacker and snowboarder.
Live in the greater Seattle area.

Jeep: 2015 JKUR, Tank green.
Stuff I've done, currently have 4000miles:
- AEV 3.5 dualsport RS, 35" Toyo Opencountry MT siped tires, AEV plinters
- Shrockworks stubby front/rear bumpers with jerry can mounts and cargo basket. Shrockworks sliders
- Synergy sleeves and gussets
- ARB twin aircompressor mounted with MORE engine mount
- Trek Armor olive drab/black seat covers and stuff
- Dominion Offroad (Jeepswag) bags for organizing trail gear, etc
- Lighting: JW Speaker 8700evoII, painted retaining rings textured black. Rigid 10" E2 driving, rigid SR-Q diffused backup lights

If I forgot anything oh well. Been very happy with the service I have gotten from these companies and Northridge and Sean at Quadratec.

Looks great! I've been considering the Bartact/Trek Armor Olive Drab seat covers for my Tank Green Rubicon but don't have a point of reference for how the colors will jive. Could you post a pic? I know everyone loves them performance-wise, are you happy with the color combination?

Yeah I have had a list for a couple years waiting for the right year/color to buy a JK. Major things to come, Artec crossmember and aluminum skid plates, upgrade axles and drive shafts (maybe RCVs), paint hardtop interior black this summer, MCE fenders, ARB diff covers and breather hoses to airbox, AEV snorkel, then odds and ends like rock lights, Pull-Pal, etc

I couldn't get a great photo because of the light today and just using my cell phone, but this gives you an idea. The Olive Drab from Trek Armor/Bartec is a lighter in color than Tank green is. I think they looks good and my wife who is better at color matching thinks they look good together. The color in the photo below is pretty accurate for the color of the seat covers, but the Jeep paint is much lighter than it looks in real life. I cannot say enough good things about the guys are Trek Armor. The quality of their product and service really impressed me. The covers clean up super easy, protect the interior for life (like hauling wood for house projects), and fits better than any seat cover I have ever used on prior vehicles.

Also I would highly recommend the armrest cover. You do have to put some weight on the cover to make it snap shut, but it is perfect for dog drool, wood splinters/dust and heat when your roof is off all day and your jeep sits in the sun. Plus I think it ties in the look of the seat covers nicely.

Wow, thanks for the thorough response and taking the time to take a picture! I really haven't been able to find such a comparison anywhere else so I appreciate it. I see what you mean about the lighting, but knowing the colors work together well is really helpful. Even though they're both green, if it were to look like a color match gone awry I'd feel better about going with something high contrast instead so it would be obviously purposeful something safe like graphite/black. This confirms I'm going for OD/OD and going to get my order in tonight!

I like it! Wanted the tank green originally but didn't want to wait for an order so went with what was available on the lot. But that tank green is awesome!

They are not a match color. They are definitely different shades and hues of green. The seat covers are lighter and less gray hue. The tank color is darker and has more gray to the color. The seat covers are probably a close match to Commando Green from 2013. Personally I think the black and green makes a nice contrast and separates the greens. You may find if you do full OD green that it is too much green and that you get a mismatched look because the seat green and paint are too close together. The black in my seats creates contrast and separates the greens from each other, which allows them to compliment each other. From what I understand of colors, working with industrial design people, is an important to create separation or the transition needs to blend together. But I'm a squares, circles and triangles engineer, I am in no way good at seeing those kind of color things.

^ Jeez that's wordy. ^

Ha, it's not wordy, it makes sense. I get that they're not a color match and your input regarding the separation with the black makes total sense to that end of things. I had already ordered the OD/OD covers before I saw your response and now I'm second guessing it a little bit. I prefer a single color look but don't want to go with anything high contrast so it would either be OD/Black or Black/Black for me, probably. Based on your pictures and others I've seen, I'm thinking I'll stick with it and hope it doesn't look like a mess

I was able to get a photo that shows the color difference better today. I don't think full OD will look bad, plus it will be something different which is always good.

Thanks a lot! That is helpful and after going back and forth about changing my order, I'm committing to it. As long as it doesn't look bad, I'm fine with it being different! I'll have to upload some pics when they come in...not sure how long the wait will be.

A few weeks at most unless they have a ton of orders they have to fill. What color stitching did you do?
Installing the seat covers for the first time there is a bit of learning curve, but if you take them off and install again you will be amazed at how much faster you can do it the 2nd time. I used the plastic bag method to prevent the Velcro from adhering to the seat fabric. Look forward to seeing your pics.

I've seen people mention long waits elsewhere on the forum, so I wasn't sure. Mine are not custom so hopefully that means a short turnaround. I selected OD for Outer and Insert colors so I assumed they will use OD stitching. I couldn't find any mention of a default stitch color.

The OD stitching is not the same color, it is less brown and more green. If you look at the first picture I posted of the interior you can see it is different. I don't know if it would be noticeable when it is 1 stitch at a time versus that stack of stitches on the logo. From my talks with Mitch and Sal I would suspect the default is black string, originally I looked at doing all black with green stitches. When they change the stitching string it delays the delivery a lot. They are very helpful and customer service orientated, just give them a call and ask them. They probably would be able to tell you when they will be shipping them too. 951.319.4008

Spoke with Sal. OD/OD is also OD stitching. Current lead time is 5 weeks. Thanks again!

It's taking a while on orders because the production manager broke his hand

Yikes! Yeah, that'll do it. And to clarify, my particular order is a 5 week lead time. It's possible they can ship others more quickly...I don't know since I just asked about my specific order.

I think you already have an idea of how the green matches but took this picture last night after taking the doors off and later I thought it showed how the Trek Armor OD green goes with Tank green. I think they compliment each other well.

Thanks for the additional pic. I still haven't received an update on my order from May so I'll have to call them sometime this week to get an update. Was starting to doubt the OD/OD choice and thought about switching to black/black to play it safe but the latest pic you shared makes me want to go ahead and chance it.
