Looking to learn from WI

I've been doing a lot of reading on here. I don't have a Jeep yet, but I intend to do one as my next project.

From what I've learned I would like a TJ or at least a post 93 YJ. I want fuel injection. I am partial to the coil sprung TJ.

I know I want a manual and a 4.0.

I have several projects, mostly road course oriented. I'm currently building a track car 1984 Corvette with an LS6 and T56. I just sold my 02 LS1 Z28. It was my previous track car and the reason for my screen name.

I'm drawn to Jeeps due to their simplicity. They are fun to drive. Mainly I want a toy I can still play with in the winter. I am sick of putting my fun cars away for months.

I want to enjoy the Jeep stock for the winter, and finish the Corvette.
Then...

LS1 swap to the TJ!!!

Any advice would be appreciated!

Well, I picked up a 1997 TJ with hard and soft tops, 4.0, and 5 speed manual. I was impressed with the rig for the $!

Pics and details to follow. I am away from home and the Jeep at the moment.

It came with a 9000# Superwinch, Rubicon flares, hard top, 16x8 ProComp wheels and 245/75/16 BFG All Terrains. I deleted the decals (except Jeep) and had some rust fixed.

I already ordered some 31x10.5x15 Goodyear Dura-Tracs on black steel wheels, and 7" flares will be on soon.
