Cool new and need advice

First of all just want to say what up!!! I am stationed over seas and am thinking of buying a jeep. the problem is that I am going through a company that I can only get the 2012 model by the time I am ready to buy. I guess what i am trying to figure out is what is better the original or the unlimited. But the hardest choice is the model. If you guy could help out by explaining the major differences between the rubi, sahara and sport that would be great. The guys at new car sales on base only give me vague answers. Thanks again.

The sport is the most basic, you have no power windows basic radio manual locks. Benefit is that theres less things to break; but its a jeep.

The sahara seems to be more of a comfort package to me, heated seats, gps electric doors, ya know all that fancy stuff im not sure if theres a suspension upgrade or if the infinity system comes standard.

The rubicon has all the benefits of the sahara except its more of the off road package; locking rear axle, dana 44 in the front and rear. electronic swaybar disconnect is a big plus in my opinion! Plus you get a pretty sticker? Yeah you also have a higher gear ratio, 4:11 while the highest on other models is 3:73

Thanks for the advice if I get the sport and buy aftermarket suspension and upgrade the axels wouldn't it still come out cheaper in the long run. I mean if I get the rubi and lift it wouldn't it make the extra cost pointless?

Well it depends how much more a Rubi would cost., the axles are the main thing. IMO, if a Rubi is more than 5k more than a sport, I would get the sport. Now, if the Rubi was only 1 or 2k more, I would go for the Rubi.

The Rubi has both front and rear elocks for the Dana 44 diffs and has a 4-1 xfer case that make 4lo, OK for tree climbing, it comes standard with 4.10 diffs-

Std issue is 32" BFG KM MTs I'm not sure about the 2012, but check into the available Pentastar V6 engine and 5sp auto xmission, if you want an auto !!

Good luck

No, with a Rubicon you get the gearing, the electronic sway bar disconnects, and the e-lockers.

A Rubicon is more than just springs and shocks....

The 2 door can make tighter turns and you can go over steeper objects without high-centering; the 4 door is still a great vehicle!! Dont get me wrong, just saying the truth.

Couldnt you just get a rubi and have them take everything off except the important thing?
