yeah i'm effin pumped to be labeled a "newb" because i know nothing of forums, jeeps, or life but i'll just have to succumb to the title until 50 posts before i can get a respectable answer. i hunted all the forums for my maxima, got some "read the previous threads" on one end and "CAI are gay" on the other end of the spectrum. how about a how-to on searching forums? this one and maxima.org take forever to get a simple answer from. i sold my maxima and got a jeep because i like to work on my own vehicle, a reliable one, with some helpful input from other jeep owners, and miltaryjeepers and jeepforum have been somewhat helpful at best so i chose this one. you type in your search, thread or post, and then hope to run across a similar answer you're looking for?! come on! i want a typical beginner list of stuff i should consider doing/buying based on the lifestyle i want my jeep to have. i've spent about 72 hours on this forum and i've gotten minimal help. work on it.

Well funny you say that... I posted a thread about removing the rear pinion yoke on my jk. Didnt want to destroy something i would need to put my new driveshaft on. Havent gotten any replys yet but hey ive got the front one to get home with if the back shaft explodes on me. And I wont have to worry about how to remove the rear yoke.

yeah, sorry, that's above my skill level. i'm still reading on what a rack, pinion, yoke, etc does and looks like. by the way, my bs wasn't aimed towards you or anyone in particular. jeeps are RWD right? so if you drove home using the front then you'd have to be in 4H or 4L the whole time? what's involved there? tap out a pin seperate the two and swap'em out lining up the teeth again, or is it under pressure?
