New from Maine (not redneck lol)

My fiance Ashley and myself (Chris) have wanted a jeep for a while, so finally on December 30, 2014 I traded in my Subaru WRX (modded out something firece) to start fresh on a new journey, and our journey together and we Purchased a 2015 JKU Sport black hard top, 3.21 automatic. About 3,000 miles in now and we are about to contact the financial department to see if they would throw on a 2.5" Rubicon Express lift, and then we go wheels and tires, and I know everyone has their own opinion, but we are going wheels 20x1a -44 (4.75b.s.) (Deep Lip/Dish) wrapped in either Nitto or Toyo 35s. We really have some plans and we car pool to work together and work at the same place. So come July we will be married and in in less that a couple weeks from right now, we are hoping to do our first mods! We are extremely excited I have been researching and reading like crazy on the forums. She is nameless right now, but soon, soon she will come together and earn her strips. 90% on 10% off road for now, maybe more, but for now she is brand new, and she is home! Oh and the JEEP is mostly the wife's. Like 90/10 hahaa.

Just droppin back in to say we started now! Got the wheels and tires finally.

Rockstar RS2s in a 18x9 et:0 (5" bs) wrapped in Toyo Open Country R/Ts 35x12.50x18 10ply

She still has no lift and for optimal fitment as it did rub a little, we took off the air damn and cut it it and shaped it to fit and look flush and clean. We also cut our own stock fenders, and cleaned up the support brackets underneath so its also really clean and flush. We left the inner wheel wells in but trimmed them back as well so mud and dirt and stuff doesnt get up in the engine bay and what not. Looks great, almost looks like she has a lift, and the wife approves so it deff came out amazing. Was nervous cutting into the our brand new 2015 JKU haaa.

So it was really nice here in maine last week. 50f weather haaa! So i took the top off, looked great, its the freedom hard top, was her and my first time! Took off the rear tire carrier, as i have not bought a spare yet $$$, and i have not had this problem until i took the top off, but the interior lights wouldnt shut off. They stayed on. I tried checking connections, fuses, the dimmer, nothing worked to shut them off and only come on when the doors open. I thought it may have to do with removing the tire carrier, so for fun i tried splicing it all back in and together, and the 3rd brake light worked but again still wouldnt shut off the interior lights. So for now i just pulled the fuse for interior lights. Hmmm
