New from Maryland

Wife and I just got a 16 JKU Sport S Hardtop.
It'll be 2 weeks old tomorrow. And we're loving it.
First Wrangler for either of us - but we're both wanted one for awhile.
It's my wife's daily driver, but I'm fortunate that she too loves to have customized vehicles.
Already bought a recovery bumper with the intention of using it as base plate to flat tow behind our RV.

Took the HT off last weekend and really enjoyed it (aside from the lifting my wife had to do for the removal/reinstall).
Since then I've cruised the forums and found all of the possible methods to remove the HT (which BTW is what lead me to this fine forum)

But truthfully now we're wishing for a soft top - seems like the Trextop NX is the most universally beloved of the less expensive alternatives, but it's still a little more than we were hoping to spend...
At first, it seemed like the Qtec Adventure S was going to be the one - but the more complex install (including the footman loop replacement), the potential of it becoming a self deploying parachute and a couple of other first impressions have steered me away a bit...
So now I'm off to continue my research and see if I can find a good soft top for less than $799.

Thanks to all for such a great information resource for us newbies!

See you around the forums
