new girl from SC!

hello! i'm 18 and i got my 06 wrangler as my first car in august of 09 a few days before my senior year of high school started. i didn't know how to drive a stick (mine is a 6 speed) but i wanted to drive to school on my first day. i got the basics down by then but it took me a month for everything to click and before i wasn't petrified to go on hills. i love having a wrangler now and wouldn't trade it for anything! everything is still pretty stock except i just put a fold down tailgate tray on the inside of the trunk door. it came with a weird rear bumper with a trailer hitch that i've been told i should just take off. i'm hoping to get some 31 bf goodrich all terrains soon and maybe some new speakers. i have an older brother with a jacked up toyota 4 runner who is helping me out with all this stuff but he doesn't want me to do anything too much cause he doesn't want me to look manly. oh well, we'll see what happens. i'm looking forward to learning a lot through this website!

Welcome to WF!

There's alot of info, people with years of experience (crazy sometimes... ), and pictures and write-ups on many parts and mods!

Enjoy your stay and post up pictures of you Jeep as you get more involved, because all of us know. Once you go Jeep... You also go broke

Have fun and keep wheelin'

That's Great! Enjoy - just bought my first Jeep at 50. Tried to when I was your age (a Wagoneer [google it] lol). Daddy was so against it though we had a 54 Willies! You and I will have a lot of the same questions - folks are SUPER here - just don't "Chadwick-It".

In case you haven't heard Jeep stands for
J = just
E = empty
E= every
P = pocket

Your brother just doesn't want to have his Toyo showed up by little sis in her Jeep.
I say do what you want with your Jeep and have fun with it.

HAHA...i lost my sending unit my last drink and jeep trip...also had water half way up the spare tire which cause a problem that still persists...not to mention it was my birthday so i "did it right" .

Wellcome to WF Lakeen,
Good to hear your bro is helping, however build it how you want it! Girls with big Jeep's are attractive.

I was 15.5 when I got my first Jeep, that's what I learned how to drive in a 1981 Jeep cj7 Laredo and now finally at the age of 37 I am getting my ass into a 2011 rubicon, but I won't have it for a a few more weeks, it is on order from the factory.
Anyway welcome, I am new here as well and it seems to be full of good info for modding up you wheels, cheers.
