Post New Guy

I've owned my TJ for over a year. Bought it from a "friend" who gave me a really good price. Drove it home [800 plus miles] before it started bucking and acting like a green broke pony. Googled my way to the answer and replaced the down stream oxygen sensor and Jip [my grand daughter isn't particular about vowel usage - 2 yrs old] became saddle broke. My "friend" later learned of the $50. repair and said, "was that all?; SH_T!!!" Anyway I frequently battle floor flooding, have several work arounds but don't always use them in time. BUT, now I am confused. Wipers and turn signals don't work when running down the road. Turn to ACC and everything is fine. Jip don't go down the road in ACC. Luckily I live in Florida where it sunshines 97% of the time and only one in 4000 people even know what that stick left of the steering wheel, also known as the aiming turny thing, actually has a use. Usually if you find a turn signal blinking it was on when they bought the car. NONETHELESS, my problem remains. Any help out there? Other than going to the movies and being a toad behind my motor coach it's not critical. This machine is more complicated than a 181 but I'm not married to it. I'm 64 and don't feel that surviving this long needs to be complicated by a something that grew beyond "Just Enough Essential Parts. Drove the last solid axle model left in Europe back in the 70's and it had carburetor problems that nearly cost me my stripes when transporting a Major General through Hoenfels one wet day. They never solved that one either. Anyway, I'm here for the duration of my patience and ownership. Please help this ship stay afloat.
