New Guy in Alabama

Just a quick post to introduce myself. I am new to the Jeep world, although I did own a Grand Cherokee back in 2001. This is my first Wrangler. It is a '17, Chief Blue, JK Sport S, with auto. I have had it 6 weeks, and have added about $3k in mods and accessories so far. All of that was strictly for appearance. First, let me say up front, I am probably cut from a different cloth than most on this forum. Mine will be an asphalt cruiser. I have been a long time Corvette guy, and am very OCD about getting my vehicles trashed. Even though this JK was meant to be my rain and golf vehicle, I will continue to make every effort to keep it clean on a daily basis. Other than that, I love driving my Wrangler. It is far better on the Interstate highways than I expected, and cruises comfortably at 75 or 80mph. I am retired from the USAF, (27 years), and then retired from the State of Alabama, (12 years). My major interests are the USA, and anything patriotic, the USAF, and anything military, Corvettes, and golf...and currently, my biggest interest is the Jeep Wrangler Sport S in my driveway! BTW, my previous "rain car" was a Mini Cooper. It just seemed like the Wrangler would be an exciting vehicle to own today, and I am glad I upgraded!!!
